I emailed them and sent them the following message, but I doubt I’ll get anywhere with that as nobody is really reading the emails.

I downloaded McAfee Virtual Detective. It says it has fixed my problems, but when I try to update my McAfee, I still get this response:
one or more problems require your response. I’ve been told by others that it may be related to another program I have on my computer. Possibly AVG Free Edition.
I don’t want to uninstall it only to find out that this was not the problem and now I have no Virus Protection AT ALL.
I was charged for another year of McAfee, but I haven’t been able to update it for months now.
I was told that the problem might be that I don’t have ActiveX. I went to download it but I couldn’t install it. I installed ManInstaAXC.bat (an extraction program) in order to download ActiveX. I did that but couldn’t install the ActiveX. (Nothing happened).

When I try to update my McAfee from the program on my computer, I continue to get the same message:
